modes — three of the ancient greek scales. aeolian grieves. dorian stands upright. phrygian descends.
root — the note the seven divide from. the mode rebuilds around it.
hymn — the lyre plays itself: slow generative plucking, weighted toward home. y toggles it. good for breath.
